One more thing...

"He still bashes our party more than he does the democrats."

His party bashes him more than democrats! Let's not forget that there is an unwritten Republican rule that during debates the other candidates are to pretend that Ron Paul is invisible. Who is being loyal to whom?

If the GOP is good at anything, it is eating their own. Ask any candidate who runs for office who isn't a conformicrat (e.g., Tea Party candidates). The GOP establishment attacks these candidates with a viciousness that would make many Democrats blush. Let's face it, a band of pirates whows more loyalty to its members than the Republican establishment. Dr. Paul should be commended for valuing his country more than a den of thieves.

Go Team! I'd be curious to see how many current Republicans would become ardent supporters of John Kerry if he flip-flopped parties and threw his hat in the ring with an "R" beside his name. Wait, we already have a flip-flopping liberal from Massachusetts running for the nomination. Yay Mitt Romney! Go Team!

Thanks, Michael. That's a much better explanation of the earmarks than I came up with.

I really don't have a thin skin and can take a lot of verbal abuse, but when I am accused of something that I am not guilty of, I have a problem with that. My boss gets mad at me because I refuse to back down when I know I am right. That's my Dad cropping up in me, I suppose. :)

I have browsed their site a little lately and even though Mike Huckabee has plainly said he will not run, there are some who seem to think he will still enter the race.
Unfortunately Larry, Huck's Army is all about self-promotion ... I thought they did a disservice to Governor Huckabee in 2008, and disassociated myself from them. The comment you received there is close to verbatim a comment I received on my blog recently in my support of Ron Paul. Apparently it's a Huck's Army "mantra" ... they copy and paste it wherever there is a Ron Paul supporter and then leave because they are unable to actually have a thoughtful discussion.

I'm not loyal to the GOP and I take a lot of heat for that, but I will not stray from my convictions to elect someone like John McCain in 2008 or Mitt Romney/Newt Gingrich/Herman Cain in 2012. I voted 3rd party in 2008 and will again in 2012 if necessary.
