Darwin’s theory will never work as long as ‘folks’ have all their basic needs met by ‘big brother’.The need to better one’s self doesn’t exist when the welfare check arrives, as would the need for the children to have a daddy.Today’s reality is that the mack daddys pop the welfare mothers so they can collect more benefits then go on their way (drugs,prison whatever…).If the ‘mother’ is a bad person, one of her relatives can take her children in and collect foster care funds.This is a scam that should be outlawed by all taxpayers.I say this-no work,no cash.The ‘folks’ that would not like my system would be free to find another place to freeload(good-luck!).

Some of us baby boomers, although merely teenagers during the 60′s, were witness to and aware of the creeping rot that began decaying society and our culture. We know that it was the republicans in congress who made the civil rights acts possible is spite of democrat obstruction. The unintended consequence of this was LBJ’s creation of the permanent welfare class known as “The Great Society”. These programs, now in their sixth decade, continue, beyond the wildest dreams of the democratsThey engender generation after generation of ill educated, unsophisticated, lacking of a work ethic entitled voters who know only the bilge that spews forth from the state run media, the race hustling poverty pimps and the two party system, keeping in place a sizeable voting bloc. Add to this the teeming masses from the third world invading our shores with their hands out demanding their rightful place in the government soup line and one day today’s over taxed working middle class will be tapped out. Surely the euthanasia of Obamacare will be replaced with the inevitable genocide of the coming socialist state.

Slavery. You make a very interesting connection with all of this, Steve, one that I hadn’t thought of.

I think the GOP is trying to make slaves of us, too, but in a completely different way. I think my next topic here will have to be how the GOP has tried to enslave the minds of its constituents.

That topic will likely not be as well received as this one, I imagine =)

I couldn’t agree more Jack, the Democrats give the people just enough to keep them addicted to government assistance because it keeps the votes coming their way. This is nothing more than a different type of slavery and it is disgusting what they have done in order to remain in power.

I don’t think we can fully comprehend just how true your post is, Jack. The Democrats have proven, time after time, that they want nothing to do with real change that would benefit the people they claim to represent. Actions speak much louder than words and the actions of the Democrats shout loudly from the mountaintops.
