Who knew what about Nidal Malik Hasan?

Who knew what about Nidal Malik Hasan?

November 11, 2009 by LD Jackson · 29 Comments

I thought I would not be revisiting the shooting at Fort Hood so soon, but as the investigation into what happened begins to unfold, I think there are some things that merit mentioning.
First of all, the shooting at Fort Hood had nothing to do with post traumatic stress syndrome, secondhand or otherwise. It is becoming [...]

As the aftermath of the shooting at Fort Hood begins to unfold and more details are released, one thing is apparent. There are a lot of questions and no so many answers. It is now known that Major Nidal Malik Hasan is still alive and is in stable condition. The female civilian police officer who [...]

Rabbis With Guns?

Rabbis With Guns?

September 6, 2009 by Mike · 2 Comments

No, not in Israel. Right here in New York City. The NY Post had a remarkable front page photo of six rabbis in a synagogue with guns pointed in proper firing position with a screaming headline “Chosen Guns” (a wordplay on ‘chosen ones’) and a subheadline saying “Don’t mess with rabbis’ God squad!” The teaser [...]

President Obama has been planning to give this speech for quite some time, since well before he won the election in November and moved into the White House. He has made it very clear he wants a new beginning with the Muslim world and he said as much in his speech in Cairo, Egypt. From [...]

Israel’s religious war in Gaza

March 24, 2009 by LD Jackson · 7 Comments

I have always been a very strong supporter of Israel and it’s right to self defense, but my overall support for Israel has declined since the three week operation known as Cast Lead in December 2008 and January 2009. This is in no way a statement of support for Hamas and the despicable actions they take concerning the rocket or suicide attacks into Israel, but rather a questioning of how Israel is responding to those attacks.

January 2, 2009 by LD Jackson · 2 Comments

On New Year’s Day, nine Muslims were removed from an AirTran plane that was to leave from Washington, D.C., bound for Florida. The reason given for their removal was a conversation that was overheard by another passenger, between Atif Irfan and his wife and sister-in-law. From ABC News:
“We generally like to sit in the middle [...]

Fort Dix verdict–Fact or fiction?

December 23, 2008 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

The jury in the Fort Dix case handed down it’s verdict yesterday, finding the five defendants guilty of conspiracy to kill U. S. soldiers. At the same time, the five were found not guilty of attempted murder in the same case. At the heart of the case is this question. Were the defendants manipulated into [...]

Christianity takes a backseat to Islam

December 17, 2008 by LD Jackson · 13 Comments

I came across an article the other day that made me cringe and then made me want to stand up and declare just how mixed up and wrong something like this is. I had just about decided to not write an article about it, but this morning, Pastor Ron, over at From Preacherpen’s Desk, wrote [...]

Making a mistake against Barack Obama

July 16, 2008 by LD Jackson · 4 Comments

Back in March, I wrote an article called His name is Mike Huckabee, not Hucka (whatever). I was trying to draw attention to what I felt was the unfair usage of Huckabee’s name.  Never have I seen a political candidate’s name subjected to such butchery.  I believe Barack Obama has been subjected to some [...]
