Sarah Palin and President Obama

Sarah Palin and President Obama

February 10, 2010 by LD Jackson · 20 Comments

I guess you could say I am writing this post with my eyes wide open. I know full well that I am about to get myself into trouble with a lot of conservatives, especially those of you who are big fans of Sarah Palin. Having read Mike’s excellent and somewhat humorous article about Palin and [...]

HuckPAC comes in 3rd in fundraising

HuckPAC comes in 3rd in fundraising

July 31, 2009 by LD Jackson · 23 Comments

According to a press release from Mike Huckabee, his political action committee HuckPAC has raised just over $300,000 during the first six months of 2009. The email I received from them did a fairly good job at putting a good light on these somewhat low numbers. Their financial goal for 2009 was to raise $750,000, [...]

Making conservatism look bad

July 17, 2009 by LD Jackson · 11 Comments

I learned this lesson long ago. There is nothing most people hate worse than a hypocrite. For someone to espouse a particular belief, point of view, philosophy, etc. and then for it to be discovered that they were secretly going against that belief all along is the ultimate insult and a real slap in the face of the people who believed in what they were saying or doing. It certainly does the causes they have been fighting for no good and I would contend that conservatism is in that same boat.

Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney – Looking forward to 2012

May 30, 2009 by LD Jackson · 6 Comments

Some may say this post is about two or three years early and they may very well be right, but this is something that has been on my mind for some time and I suppose now is as good a time as any to put pen to paper, so to speak. Yes, I understand it is only 2009 and Barack Obama has only been in office for about four months, but we will have a chance to vote him out of office in 2012 and the campaign will start earlier than that.

The Huckabee Report

March 10, 2009 by LD Jackson · 1 Comment

Just out of curiosity, have you listened to the short segments Mike Huckabee is doing on ABC Radio? I knew he was doing them, but I very seldom get a chance to listen to the radio during the day, due to my job requirements. Last Friday, I was out for lunch and caught a portion [...]

Mike Huckabee–Doing The Right Thing

November 19, 2008 by LD Jackson · 9 Comments

I have refrained from writing an article about Mike Huckabee and the release of his new book, “Do The Right Thing”, simply because I have yet to read the book. From the excerpts I have read, it appears Huckabee was honest in telling us about his campaign and how it all went down, from taking [...]

Mike Huckabee to back Chip Saltsman for RNC chairman

November 12, 2008 by LD Jackson · 1 Comment

Former campaign manager for Mike Huckabee, Chip Saltsman, has declared his interest in the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and according to Marc Ambinder, from The Atlantic, Huckabee is throwing his support behind Saltsman. Sarah Huckabee, Huckabee’s daughter has this to say in an email.
My dad is definitely supporting Chip for RNC chairman. [...]

Why we are still fighting for Mike Huckabee

March 10, 2008 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

Since September of last year, I have spent a lot more time on my computer, writing articles and trying to get the truth out about Mike Huckabee than I would care to admit and certainly more than my wife would have wished. After Huckabee dropped out on March 4, she asked me what was [...]

The best is yet to come

March 7, 2008 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

With Mike Huckabee dropping out of the race, I have pondered what to do about the general election and what to do with my blog. While I still do not know how I will vote in November, I do know what I am going to do with this blog.
While my passion for the last [...]

Where does Mike Huckabee go from here?

February 13, 2008 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

It seems like Mike Huckabee’s campaign for the Republican nomination has been one big mood swing.  It started off in Iowa and we all felt wonderful when he gave Mitt Romney the drubbing there.  It went on to New Hampshire, where he didn’t do so well and John McCain started his surge that hasn’t quite [...]
