What is wrong with Mike Huckabee?

September 19, 2007 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

I suppose I just don’t understand what is wrong with Mike Huckabee. I have watched parts of some of the debates and all of the Values Voter Debate and I just can’t understand why some people seem to find anything they can to put him down. I have been reading some on the Sean Hannity forums and a couple of the comments really stood out to me. One of the posters said Huckabee was almost supernatural in his niceness. Now, pray tell, what is wrong with someone being nice. Another poster said Huckabee was able to get to the feelings without using intelligence. I don’t know where that comes from. When you watch him speak, you can tell he is thinking before he speaks. He doesn’t say anything until he is ready and when he does speak, he makes a lot of sense. Maybe that is the problem. He may be making too much sense for some people.

That’s my take!

Sean Hannity hates Mike Huckabee, and more than a few times has put him down. The reason for that is that Gov. Huckabee is a true believer and Hannity is … well, … not.

Mike pointed out that in 1992, we who were working the anti-Clinton campaigns made adultery an issue. Now, we want to ignore it (Giuliani, Gingrich). He said that if we’re going to do that, then we owe Clinton an apology.

Hannity relies heavily on Gingrich for content, and he wants to make sure that the Republican nominee is endeared to him, so he kowtows to Giuliani and Romney constantly. (He refuses to let anyone call Giuliani a liberal, for example.)

I’m sure that the rants on the forums are reciting what Hannity has told them. It sounds like the same bilge Hannity himself spouts.

I used to listen to Rush and Hannity, when I was in my vehicle, but anymore, I can’t hardly stand to listen to the junk they use as content. It has no substance at all.
