Turn off Barack Obama on October 29

Back during the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama promised to accept public financing for the general election, if John McCain would do the same. McCain has followed through with his promise, but Obama decided to continue his fund raising and use his own money. This has basically put McCain at a disadvantage in the money race.

Barack Obama has taken some of that extra money and has purchased a thirty minute commercial the night of October 29, planning to run the ad on at least CBS and NBC, with plans for the other networks as well. Since I don’t have a TV, I don’t have to worry about it, but there are plans for a boycott of sorts, a changing of the channel or simply a turning off of the television. Personally, I believe it is a good idea. Let’s not watch his propaganda and do something constructive, like help get out the vote in our own community.

Count Us Out has more information.

That’s my take!

Not having cable and receiving no channels where we are, I won’t be watching, either.
