Trouble brewing for November 4th

Let’s take a moment and remember November of 2000 and recall the trouble between George W. Bush and Al Gore as they contested the Florida Presidential election results. There was no rioting that I can remember, but the contest was taken all the way to the Supreme Court and Bush came out as the winner. Since then, we have heard time after time about how Bush stole the election, how his Presidency was not legitimate and it has been clear, there was/still is a lot of bitterness over that election. That was a time of political unrest in our country, with no one really knowing how it was going to turn out. As bad as that was, it will pale in comparison to the unrest we are likely to see on November 4, 2008, if John McCain manages to pull out a victory against Barack Obama.

From the news and blog articles I have been reading, most of the media is already counting Obama’s electoral votes and the prevailing opinion seems to be that he already has this election in the bag. While I am certainly hoping and praying that is not the case, I truly fear what will be in store for our country, if McCain happens to win. No, I do not fear a McCain Presidency, but I do fear what some of the supporters of Obama will do, if he loses. It appears widespread protests are already in the planning stages, should he do so. One activist website puts it like this.

If your television declares John McCain the president elect on the evening of November 4th, your television will be lying. You should immediately pick up your pre-packed bags and head straight to the White House in Washington, D.C., which we will surround and shut down until this attempt at a third illegitimate presidency is reversed.

From the wording of the article in question, it appears there is no way some of these people will be able to accept a McCain victory. It goes on to accuse the Republicans of trying to suppress the vote in some areas and accuses them of stifling voter registration by accusing community organization groups of voter registration fraud, ie. ACORN. To put it bluntly, if groups such as ACORN had no problem intimidating banks into making bad loan decisions, even going so far as to threaten bank president’s in their own homes, what tactics will they resort to if their perfect candidate happens to lose? I am almost afraid to find out. From the website above:

We should be prepared already to immediately travel to Washington, D.C., head straight for the White House, occupy Lafayette Square Park, the Ellipse, and surrounding streets, block entrances, and shut the place down until Obama is recognized as the president elect or we are guaranteed a credible election with universal registration and hand-counted paper ballots.

It appears to me these people do not plan to let Barack Obama lose this election, no matter who gets the most votes. Well, I have a few words for them.

Despite what some of the polls are saying, could it be that the American people are going to finally wake up and realize what kind of man they are about to put into the White House? Could it be they will finally realize his true intentions of turning our country into a socialist nation, taxing the rich more and more, in order to give that money to those who are less fortunate? Could it be they will finally realize how he will stifle free speech and will do his best to remove our 2nd Amendment rights? I hope and pray to God that is the case. If we, as citizens of the United States, do not realize what is happening and Barack Obama wins this election, then the trouble has only just begun for our country.

That’s my take!

Larry

Larry, my wife and I have heard similar ideas for months now. I pray Americans will be intelligent enough NOT to vote Obama/Biden, but if they do and our country is somehow faced with that embarrassment, we can still move forward. The Illinois senator is a dangerous man, as I’ve said on numerous occasions, and should not be elected. Personally, if he really loves his country, he should do the honorable thing and go back to community organizing.

Should the right ticket prevail, McCain/Palin, we should be prepared to hear an endless whine fest like we heard from Senator Gore and people like him.
