Steve Deace–I will quit if I am lying about Mitt Romney
From before the Iowa caucus was held, when the Republican primary season was getting into full swing, Mitt Romney has been trying to sell us on the idea that he is a true conservative. He tried that tactic in Iowa and the people of Iowa handed him his head on a platter.
After the primary season was over and he came in third place, he quickly began his campaign to become John McCain’s Vice-President. Throughout both sections of the campaign, he had a lot of help from different people. Not the least of these people were Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Even today, both men are pushing their candidate to become the VP. Thankfully, I don’t have the chance to listen to their programs very much. The times I do get to listen, I just shake my head in disbelief.
Earlier this week, I decided to support John McCain, or at least give him my vote. I made that statement and said I would do so, even if he picks Mitt Romney as his VP. It will be hard to do, but I believe Barack Obama is so much of a danger, that I am willing to do that. However, that does not keep me from disagreeing wholeheartedly with McCain, if he happens to choose Romney as his running mate.
I am not here to push Mike Huckabee as a potential running mate, but I will say this. If anyone deserves to be McCain’s VP, it is Huckabee, not Romney. Not only that, but Mike Huckabee has been and still is a conservative, no matter what Romney and the Club for Growth tells you. Look at Romney’s record and you can clearly see, he isn’t a conservative. no matter what Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, and other so-called conservatives will tell you.
Some of you may be familiar with the Iowa radio station, 1040 WHO. Steve Deace has an afternoon radio show on WHO and if you haven’t had the chance listen to him, you do not know what you are missing. He has been calling these so-called conservatives on the carpet for lying to the people. He feels so strongly about this, he issued a challenge that said, if someone can prove that he is lying about Mitt Romney, he will quit his radio show and his job. It will take several minutes, but please take time to listen to what Steve Deace has to say.

Thank you for pointing this out. Please listen to Steve pointing out some facts about Romney’s record. Steve had the backbone to call Rush, Sean, Anne, and several others liars. If more talk show hosts were like Steve Deace, Gregg Jackson, Adam Graham, and Adam McManus; we’d have more truth being broadcast than the “journalistic malpractice” “massive conservative cover-up” propaganda we’ve been hearing from some we thought we could trust.
Besides the fact that Romney has reversed positions on gay rights, abortion, gun control, taxes, and who knows what else, I’m especially fond of the defense we hear for him …
“He was running for governor of Massachusetts, a very liberal state.”
In other words, even his defenders agree … Mitt Romney will say anything to get votes.
WTG, Deace!
