Mike Huckabee’s CPAC speech

By LD Jackson

I just finished watching the video of the speech given by Mike Huckabee at the CPAC convention and it has to be one of the best speeches I have heard him give.  There is no way you can watch this speech and not realize how true of a conservative he is.  One of the best moments of the speech was when he was talking about the IRS and how unfair it is. Right in front of the crowd, he tore a tax form up and threw it in the floor.  This man is really serious about serving our country and doing what is right for her citizens.  I urge you to watch the speech at the link below.  It is about 30 minutes long and well worth your time.

Huckabee @ CPAC

That’s my take!

  1. Bob D says:

“lets have a military no one will want to engage”

Is he that dense? We already do. Thats why they resort to suicide bombing.

He might not be as malevelent as McCain but he is more of an idiot.

  2. Larry says:

    Bob D,
Why does that statement make him an idiot? He simply wants our country to have a strong enough military to repsond effectively to any threat. Presently, our military is spread very thin and he wants to remedy that.

  3. monique says:

Jesus, a true historical figure said, Mat 5:21 “You have heard that the law of Moses says, `Do not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’

Mat 5:22 But I say, if you are angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the high council. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

    Bob,

I would watch out whom you’re calling an idiot, in fact, if I were you I would eliminate that word from your vocabulary, as it may remind others of your lack of intelligence.

If you were a smart man you would show yourself approved by coming to the table with facts. Whether you like Mike Huckabee or not, the fact is he was an excellent governor of Arkansas, that’s not simply an opinion. He really turned his state around and left it with an $884 million dollar surplus. He also stepped in and successfully assisted 60,000 Katrina victims without fanfare and without help from the federal government. There are many more facts than this…

For you to disregard the facts is a sign of a lack of intelligence; and by your own definition, that would make you an idiot.

I’m not calling you one, but if others were to use your own criteria, it would be your nickname.

If I were you, I would cut out the word “idiot” from your vocabulary.

Also, you may want to do some research on Islam in regards to suicide bombers.

  4. Gary says:

    Bob D,

The terrorists resort to suicide bombing for anybody they want to engage, not just the USA. That’s how they wage their war.

  5. wickle says:

You know, in honor of Bob’s brilliance, I think I’ve just changed my opinion about the military. We should disband both the Air Force and Navy, cut the Marines by 50%, and eliminate tanks and helicopters from the Army.

    And grenade launchers.

That way, our enemies won’t have to resort to suicide bombing.

… sorry, does that sound sarcastic?

  6. chukmaty says:

The reason we have a stretched military is because it was shrunk during the Clinton years. The reason we did not know what was in Iraq went we went in was because of the Clintons destroying our intel community as well. Huckabee clearly gets that this is a time of danger and our military must be stronger than ever.

  7. chukmaty says:

By the way, the speach floored me. Especially when he went over his conservative credentials. His reference to “It’s a Choice Not and Echo” was brilliant. Fits his campaign very well, neither him nor his supporters could ever be called the echo.

  8. Joe says:

Bob, let me inform you on the muslim suicide bommers we are facing so your not as ignoant as that comment.

Some of our politicians, preachers, and pundits are telling us that there are no differences in religions. One is as good as another. We are told that islam is a religion of peace.

I would like for a muslim leader to tell me why he has the right to offend me with lies about Christ’s deity, death, and resurrection and I’m supposed to sit there and smile like an idiot, but I cannot point out the incredible contradictions, mistakes, and absurdities in the religion of islam without being called a hater.

Public rhetoric since the terrorist attacks attempts to assure Americans that islam is a religion of peace, and many American have adopted that mantra since we WANT to believe it.

These bombers are not cowards. They are fight even though they know they will lose one on one, so they attack us in any way they. As long as they kill us they are winning the their minds.

In any war, truth is the first casualty-we are at war!! Watch and see muslim leaders attempt to rewrite history before our very eyes. They are trying to sanitize their bloody religion.

BIN LADEN IS A FOOL,A FANATIC AND A FRAUD!!!!!!!!!

Many muslim leaders reject the use of violence to advance islam; however, every muslim scholar knows that the Koran teaches that every single muslim has an obligation to support conversion efforts until islam has taken over the world.

Muslims believe it is legitimate to fake a peace when you are weak so that you can smash your enemy when you are eventually strong. Muslims call this takiya. Principled people call it “deception”.

Some words to rremember from a great American of long ago,

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.”

    Abraham Lincoln 1863

  9. This man is just another warmonger, hiding with knives behind the peaceful words Jesus’s self proclaimed followers make a habit of ignoring.

Bob was right. We already do have a powerful military. Although we could do more to support it. The biggest thing we could do to make our military better able to respond to actual threats, is to stop responding to imagined or manufactured ones, like the war in Iraq.

  10. Joe says:

    Dan (Fitness)

You are wrong. Islam is America’s Trojan Horse!!
