Mike Huckabee responds to the two man race theory
I very seldom get a chance to listen to the radio during the day, but today was an exception. I knew better than to listen to Sean Hannity, but I did anyway, wondering what he would say about Mike Huckabee. He went on and on about how Mike should consider dropping out, saying it would be virtually impossible for him to win the nomination. Now, honestly, I do not know if Huckabee is going to win the nomination, but I do believe he has a very good chance of at least making the nomination go to the convention. It depends on how good he does on Super Tuesday.
In response to the attempts by people like Hannity and Limbaugh to make this campaign a two man race, Mike Huckabee has posted a blog post on his website’s blog.
We are in this race to win despite the desperate efforts by the Romney campaign to try and say that “a vote for me is a vote for McCain”. Actually, a vote for me is a vote for me! And it’s a vote to say no to the underhanded efforts of the Romney campaign and his wholly-owned talk radio backers who are repeating that nonsense. We have outlasted Rudy, Fred, and others who were supposed to be the winners. Only 8% of the Republican delegates have been selected, and we have about the same number of delegates as McCain or Romney. We are in it to win.
Also, from The Hill:
A defiant Mike Huckabee said Thursday that there is “no way” he would drop out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination, and he blasted the media for characterizing the race as a contest between Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.“If people think that I’m quitting, they need to get the message loud and clear. Somebody’s going to have to beat me,” said the former Arkansas governor. “There’s no way I’ll walk away.”
Huckabee, who was interviewed on MSNBC, criticized the media for trying to make the GOP contest a two-man race.
“It’s almost as if there’s this concerted effort to create a race between two people, and I just think the American people are the ones being cheated, as well as the people who’ve worked real hard to support me,” Huckabee said.
If you are a Huckabee supporter and you are getting weary of seeing and hearing the rhetoric about a two man race, take courage. They can say Huckabee is running for McCain’s VP all they want, but it simply isn’t true. Mike Huckabee is running to be President in his own right and friends, make no mistake. Huckabee is running to win.
That’s my take!
Larry

“It’s almost as if there’s this concerted effort to create a race between two people, and I just think the American people are the ones being cheated.” Those are the wisest words I ever heard Huckabee say.
You bet we’re the ones being cheated, by clowns who don’t do their own research to find out a Baptist minister is lying to our faces;

Get a clue!
Winghunter,
You and I have been down this road before. You can call me names and tell me to “get a clue” if you want, but you continually come back with the same issues you claim show Huckabee can not be trusted. I hesitated to even allow your comment, but the more I think about it, the more I dislike being called a clown for supporting the candidate of my choice. I have done my research, thank you very much, and I am firm in my support of Mike Huckabee. I have been nothing but respectful to you and anyone else who does not agree with my viewpoint and I expect you and all others to be respectful to me. If not, your previous comment will be your last on my blog. It is your choice.
