Thanks, Dominique and Kerry. I hesitated to even approve the comment, but it was so crazy, I wanted a chance to set it straight.

Jos76 ... how many blogs are you going to cut and paste your same ridiculous comment? We gave to Gov. Huckabee for the same reason other hardworking, struggling Americans donate to any of the candidates ... because we believed (still believe) Mike Huckabee to be the best hope for all people in the United States. He didn't steal our money, he gave us hope, and continues to do so as we look toward 2012.

Jos76

I agree with Larry.

You obviously have no concept of loyalty because when you get to the bottom of it, that is what Mike had that no other Senator has. People who are loyal to the nth degree because they know Mike to be an honest, hardworking and honorable man.

There is this quote that sums up why Mike has such a loyal following.

“The true test of a leader is whether his followers will adhere to his cause from their own volition, enduring the most arduous hardships without being forced to do so, and remaining steadfast in the moments of greatest peril.”

We followed Mike Huckabee and gave of our of free will because, and let me stress this so you don't misunderstand...WE BELIEVE IN MIKE AND KNOW THAT HE IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR AMERICA!

He would have brought the government into fiscal responsibility and balance and he would have made life better for those at the bottom of our economical caste.

I wish I understood how so many people can "misunderstand" who and what Mike is. I just scratch my head in wonder...

I encourage you to go to his website and read the almost 1,000 thank you notes to Mike. Those are the people who you believe are being "ripped off." Listen to what they say when you read those posts. These are people that are truly happy to have worked with such an inspirational man.

Here is one that I thought summed it up well .

"Dear Huck: I want to thank you for your leadership, and for the way your leadership has impacted my life. Through your example: I have begun to be gracious like you are. I have begun to walk in humility like you have. I have begun to love others like you have even when attacked. I have begun to respect and love those different than I. During the next 4 years, please continue to talk to us. Our lives our being changed for the good, from the inside out. Thank you for being a humble man of God, a man of character and integrity. My heart is hurting tonight -- I am not sure if I can vote this November. You are the first presidential candidate I have ever supported. Please continue to speak to us Mike; we are being changed by your leadership. Thank you again for your leadership and for who you are. I am praying for you."

That is why we gave out of everything we have and are.

Remaining Steadfast,
Dominique

Jos76,
I hesitated to even approve your comment, that is how stupid it is. I did, just to be able to refute it.

For you to say Huckabee is selfish has to be about the most outrageous statement that I have heard about him. Those people gave to his campaign out of their own free will and it was their right to do so. In no way does that make Huckabee a selfish man.

I am sorry for my strong statements, but I have had my fill of people making ignorant statements about Mike Huckabee, with no knowledge of what they speak about.

Rant over!

I'm shocked and disappointed that Huckabee would take money from struggling, hard-working Americans in order to fund his campaign. He said in his drop-out speech that it was..."the sacrifices of a truck driver in Michigan, of a housewife who sold her wedding ring on eBay and gave the contribution to the campaign, a janitor in Alabama who has a wife in a wheelchair who gave $20, not out of his abundance, but out of his poverty, so that our campaign could stay on the track." In a bad economy, why would someone running for President take their money to fund a campaign that was clearly going to be fruitless? What would become of the economy if selfish Huckabee were President?

Hi Larry -

I was discouraged as well when I heard the news. Many moments of anger, frustration and discouragement these past few weeks.

And in reference to McCain...well...let's say its probably best I say nothing.

I decided to post an article on my blog in honor of Mike and what better way to honor him and what he has done then through the words of those who worked as part of his grassroots operation.

BTW - my link on your page will need to be updated as I had to move my blog to a new site. I have add your link to my new blog as well. The new url is

http://anunlikelyperspective2.squarespace.com/

I have added my name to the OnlyMike website because I just can't in good conscience support McCain with all I know of his worldview from first hand experience. If you would like to add your name, Larry, here is the link for that as well.

http://www.petitiononline.com/jkb1961/petition.html

Talk to you soon.

Remaining Steadfast,
Dominique

Now we must turn to supporting candidates for the house and the senate ... the last thing we need is Clinton or Obama in the White House with the dems in charge in the congress.

McCain will get no campaigning out of me ... I support Mike Huckabee for more than just his politics (like his integrity and compassion ... I believe McCain has neither, and I don't like his politics!).

Less than two years until we start all over again with Candidate Huckabee!

I don't think that McCain will ask Gov. Huckabee to be his running mate. McCain is supposed to pay homage now to the powers that be in the GOP, and they dislike Gov. Huckabee even more than they dislike Sen. McCain.

Ultimately, I will probably vote for Sen. McCain simply because of abortion. McCain is at least a mediocre pro-lifer, which is certainly better than the Democrat will be. I haven't decided for certain, but I figure that's where I'm going to wind up.

Sigh ... Not a good night. It's been a really good run, though.
