Michigan primary results and on to South Carolina
Most of the major networks have called the Michigan Republican primary for Mitt Romney. With 39% of the precincts reporting, CNN has Mitt Romney with 39%, John McCain with 30%, and Mike Huckabee with 16%. These results are not as good as I had hoped for but I suppose they are not too bad for someone who spent very little money for advertising in Michigan. I have enough faith in Mike Huckabee to believe that the more time he has to talk to voters, the greater his chances are to win votes. It goes back to what I have said before. To know Mike Huckabee is to like him. Hopefully, these results will be enough to slow John McCain’s momentum down enough for Huckabee to win big in South Carolina. Unless something drastic happens between now and Saturday, I don’t see anyone else challenging Huckabee for South Carolina. In my opinion, Mike Huckabee needs to win South Carolina and I think he needs to win it big. In doing so, he will effectively knock Fred Thompson out of the race and hopefully cripple McCain and Romney and give Huckabee a big boost of momentum going into Florida. One thing we need to remember, as supporters of Mike Huckabee. It ain’t over until the fat lady sings and folks, she still has her mouth shut. We all knew this wasn’t going to be easy. Let’s keep on keeping on.
That’s my take!

I was suprised… I thought his percentage would be higher. I am sure he will do better in So. Carolina
It was tough here. Everytime one of Mike’s ads would run on television, it was immediately followed by an attack ad paid for by the club for growth (hardly a coincidence). I see some details about where all the CFG money is coming from is being brought to light this afternoon.
I was hoping for a better outcome in Michigan, but we have to play the cards we have in hand. It really is a shame when a group like CFG can smear a candidates record without impunity. I understand about free speech and all that, but Mitt Romney doesn’t even have to attack Huckabee himself, much less use his own money for it. He has the CFG to do his dirty work for him. I really believe it is time for Huckabee to come out of his corner and answer these false accusations with as strong a response as possible.
