Just for the record, Mike Huckabee is not about to give up the fight
One of the first things I read this morning was how the Huckabee campaign was going broke and was not going to be able to compete in Florida. This is because they stopped providing the press transportation as they followed Huckabee around as he campaigned. The people who are reporting this obviously do not know Mike Huckabee very well. From the Huckabee website:
Huckabee for President is being transformed into a leaner and more effective operation for the weeks ahead. We came very close in South Carolina, but very close isn’t good enough. We plan on winning and we are making a number of changes. The press has gleefully reported these changes as an sign of our “demise.” Not so. In fact, this exercise is actually breathing fresh air into our effort!
A campaign that doesn’t retool and try to be more effective with each set of new election results, eventually leaves the race (ie Fred Thompson). We are retooling because we want to win.
So buckle up and enjoy the ride.
No matter what you hear, do not make the mistake of thinking Mike Huckabee is about to give up in his fight for the nomination. He is still very much in play in Florida and has events scheduled across the state. Not only that, but he is gearing up to be competetive in several of the Super Tuesday states. So, as Chip Saltsman says above, enjoy the ride. No matter what Limbaugh and Hannity say, Huckabee is still in the race.
That’s my take!
Larry
