Huckabee with Charlie Rose

I just finished watching the video of the interview with Charlie Rose and I must say I really enjoyed it.  It was refreshing to be able to listen to Mike Huckabee answer the questions without having the person conducting the interview interrupting every few seconds.  Charlie Rose actually gave him time to talk and to articulate how he stands on the issues.  He did ask him some tough questions about his faith and how he believes on evolution versus creationism, but I thought Huckabee answered the questions well.  I still don’t understand how that subject is relevant to being President, but I will refrain from that topic, at least for now.  The interview is almost an hour long, so take some time to watch it and see what you think.  I think you may be convinced how much we need Mike Huckabee to be President.

You can see the interview here.

That’s my take!

Sadly, Mike Huckabee is sort of a novelty for “admitting” openly that he believes in Creation.

I think that that’s why it comes up. In this “sophisticated” and “modern” society, most people think that they’ve outgrown such pedestrian notions.

On the other hand, I don’t think that it’s totally out of bounds when asked respectfully. There might be some people who think that that makes Mike some kind of knuckle-dragging Neanderthal. Others of us applaud that we have someone who really does share my faith.

But, ultimately, we need a President who shares more than our views of creation. It’s nice that Charlie Rose bothered to ask some other questions … unlike a certain Bill O’Reilly who shall remain nameless.

The thing I have a problem with is their unfair treatment of the issue. As I said in a previous article, if it was an open homosexual or atheist, the same kinds of questions would not be asked, probably because it might be considered discrimination. With anything Christian, however, it seems to be open season.
