Huckabee calls out the GOP

February 20, 2008 by LD Jackson · Leave a Comment

Mike Huckabee was a guest on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning and from what I have seen he was rather fired up.  I have only a short clip of the interview, but he clearly calls the Republican party smug and elitist.  You may ask why he would do this, but if you have heard some of the comments they have made about him staying in the race, then you would understand.  Maybe those are plain words, but Mike Huckabee is a plain spoken man and if the shoe fits, then the Republican party needs to wear it.

That’s my take!

    Gov. Huckabee is right.

I thought that we were making enough headway to change the party this time around, but I’m having to come to terms with the fact that it probably isn’t going to happen. At least one Huckabee blogger has switched over to McCain.

The problem is visible from all sorts of things. The New York-Washington PTB’s were never going to let an Arkansas preacher win the nomination. Look at the people we’ve nominated since Reagan — VP Bush, who was a Rockefeller establishment (anti-Reagan) guy; Bob Dole, establishment Senator; Gov. Bush, son of Bush and big-oil guy.

We were supposed to choose between the establishment Senator or the gazillionaire. Not the peasant.

Finally Mike is saying what many of us have been feeling for weeks. We are being force fed candidates that we don’t want. If the GOP establishment wants to crown John McCain the king then Senator McCain will be King over Nothing.
