Congressman Paul Ryan explains health care reform – Video
How about a show of hands? Is anyone tired of hearing and reading about the debate over health care reform? I didn’t get the chance to watch the health care summit at the Blair House, so I am going back and watching a few of the video segments that are available. One of the ones that I have been impressed with most is of Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. Folks, this fellow has it nailed down, in my opinion. I am including a six-minute clip of what he had to say during the second half of the meeting yesterday. His time during the first half was cut short to only two minutes, but I think he got his point across the second time.
We have seen, heard, and read a lot of back and forth over who is right in this debate and over what the real differences are. Congressman Ryan does a fine job at dissecting the Democratic plan to reform health care and at showing the real and stark differences between the two parties and their ideas of reform. Let me know what you think.
I wish I could have seem Obama’s response. I didn’t get to see the meeting live, as I was at work, so I’ve only seen parts of it. If Obama had responded as he had with several of the other Republicans, he would have accused Ryan of going off talking points. Which I see is now a Democratic talking point, “When confronted with facts, accuse opponent of using talking points.”
Ryan did do well with this. Extremely well.

Paul Ryan does make many good points and some of the tap dancing in this bill is mind blowing. There are so many twist and turns in the monster I’ve given up on following it. I know enough, more than enough to come to a conclusion. This puppy is too sick to save!

He’s good, but in his analysis didn’t include the cost of illegal aliens or what amnesty and chain migration will do to those costs. They are certain to be even higher than what Ryan is suggesting. I bring this up because at the end of the clip Obama is about to call on Javier Becerra who would like nothing more than to erase the border and have another 100 million people on the plan. Try and wrap your mind around those numbers.

Congressman Ryan is still waiting (along with the rest of America) for Obama’s rebuttal-LOL. Paul Ryan has a big future ahead of him in the Republican Party and I’m glad he’s on our side. He also has a plan for America’s economy.
