I think Silverfiddle could be onto something. The government might want to shut down private donations to make these people even more needful of government assistance.
It really is the nanny state taken to another level,to think that the government would stop people from helping other people because they decided the help wasn’t good enough is just astounding.

I have to agree with the reader that suggests that private charity is a threat to government power. Statists view government as god, and the government god is a very jealous one.
