Indeed, when faced with such a stormy night as we just went through, it makes a fellow stop and think about his priorities. Politics, the budget, and other issues pale in comparison to a family or families losing their homes or lives because of mother nature. I am glad you and your family made it through safely.

I was stationed on the USS San Jacinto in Norfolk. We were in the ship yards at the time, and I remember seeing the pavillion thing in downtown Norfolk get ripped to shreds. It was intense.

It’s frightening when the entire house begins creaking, water begins to run down the walls, and salt water is lapping against the foundation of your house.
