Well, there have been stories run about Republicans being in “disarray” so maybe the various campaigns decided to tone it down a little.

From what I read Ron Paul destroyed Newt. His line about being married with kids getting drafted and still going must have been as good as Lloyd Bentson’s slam of Dan Quayle.

I thought the debate last night was dreadful. No one attacked Romney, they spent a half an hour on irrelevant non-issues and did I mention no one attacked Romney? Just a terrible, boring debate.

Sunday morning debate on NBC

This debate was much better managed, Still heavily favored Romney with talk time. Nothing new discussed for those who have watched all of the debates..

I was not impressed with this debate. George and Diane managed to make sure Romney got the majority of response time: 18 to an average of 9 for the other 5 candidates.

They did not give Santorum an opportunity to respond to the Iran question, which I think is his strongest point. They tried to beat him up with his position on same sex marriage but he shrugged it off.

Perry made more sense than in previous debates, until he said he would send troops back in to Iraq.

For the most part the debate was fairly mild. With the exception of couple of scrapes between Paul and the other candidates–which George Steph purposely goaded them into–there weren’t allot of fireworks. The several candidates seemed to not be willing to really go after each other, focusing on Obama instead, and in fact complimented each other a few times.
Mitt Romney went unscathed as I thin the candidates know New Hampshire is about second place.

Will you disavow him and why should you not be detained indefinitely in Guantanamo? You have three seconds.”
