Above all, be thankful
I was listening to a little of the Rush Limbaugh program yesterday and I caught the end of a story he was telling, right before he went to a break. It was about the pilgrims that had the first Thanksgiving and it told some of how it all came about. Now, I do not like a lot of what Rush has to say, but at the end of the story, he made a statement that I felt was so simple, yet so profound. He said to have a good Thanksgiving and to realize we all have so many things to be thankful for, if we would only sit down and think about it. That statement is so true.
As we go into this holiday season, let’s start by remembering how much we all have to be thankful for. Our country may not be perfect and we can all find something we do not agree with, but right now, it is the best place to be, in the entire world. Just look around and I am sure you can find something you should be thankful for.
