I feel so unsecured about our nation’s debt I feel we have to take the responsibility of repaying them to have a better national Income, this is a basic responsibility of every leader and citizen to safe guard the country’s debts. I feel this is a very good post on socio awareness post as well.

I agree that national debt is economically relevant figure to track in the present day. I just hope that the government could be able to tackle their debts without further accumulate the future liabilities in the future. I wish that the government would also pay the national debt and would be successful in their infrastructure projects. I also agree that this is interesting article.

Ah yes, what I call “magic debt.” They don’t count it as debt because they think Fannie and Freddie will be profitable again, so it’s treated more like a loan than debt.

I agree that public debt is the most relevant number. where I get confused is on the debt we have with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? As I understand it this debt is off the books. But shouldn’t it be counted as public debt.?
